Sad Monkeys Checks In From The Studio

Sad Monkeys entered Belly Of The Whale Studio to begin recording on their new EP tentatively titled "Mountain Lake". The scheduled release has been pushed back from late 2008 to early 2009.

Songtitles set to appear on the new EP are as follows:

02. Fade In Fade Out

Lead guitarist Tony Sjöman comments:

"The recording sessions went extremely well and it was a pleasure working with producer/engineer Carlos Sepulveda. Everybody's very excited and the new material is the best shit we've ever done!"

Sad Monkeys To Enter Studio Next Week

Sad Monkeys will enter the studio next week to begin recording their follow-up to "Light Years".

Commented Sad Monkeys frontman Christian Karlsson: "We're very excited and the new recordings will kick some serious ass".

The recording will take place at Belly Of The Whale Studios engineered by Carlos Sepúlveda who is previously known for his work with Psycore and Swedens Finest.

The new EP is scheduled for release in late 2008.

Sad Monkeys featured on 'Vitreous Floaters' Soundtrack

Sad Monkeys are among the artists whose music is featured on the Vitreous Floaters soundtrack.

Vitreous Floaters is the first feature film from Lune de Loup, a Colorado-based production company. It deals with a small group of college students seeking identity and acceptance.

The film is currently in post-production, due for release later this year.

Sad Monkeys long-awaited new EP 'Light Years' is finally out.

'Way Out" and 'Heading' now are two new Sad Monkeys songs with great melodies and harmonics blended with great bass lines ans solid drums.

Acoustic gig at Grolsch Block Party!!!

Sad Monkeys will perforn an exclusiv gig at the first Grolsch Block Paty in Gothenburg, Sweden this Friday August 22.

The party is co-hosted by Vice Magazine.

Sad Monkeys will perform at Miss Ragtime on Magasingatan 15 together with DJ's Harry Stone(myspace.com/harrystonemusic)  and Stisch(myspace.com/stischmusic).

Sad Monkeys - Sunset Streaking...

Deep in the woods in the middle of Sweden there's a small village called Södra Fjäll.

Here we are rehearsing for the first time for our live debut on Saturday.

The sun is shining and between all the streaking we've managed to rehearse six songs so far.
